Kirsten Slungaard Mumma is a PhD candidate in Education Policy and Program Evaluation (EPPE) at the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences/Harvard Graduate School of Education with an emphasis in applied economics. Her research interests include school choice policies, charter schools, geographic disparities in educational outcomes and opportunities, and adult education.
Prior to graduate school, Kirsten worked in strategy and operations for the national office of Rocketship Education, a growing charter school network based out of California, and at the Chicago Public Schools as a grant developer for federal, state, and foundation competitive grants. Kirsten holds a Master’s of Education in Education Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and an A.B. in English from Harvard College.
